About us

Hands in service began with a chance encounter between a Ugandan young
man(Ronald) and Haley Lawson who were supporting widows and two orphans in the
rolling beads by buying and supplying widows and the two orphans with the necessary materials for them to be able to make the beads, the women learned
that there was no market for their jewelery, people admired their paper
beads and bought a few, never realizing that their lives, and the
lives of so many impoverished Ugandans were about to change.
When friends from the United States admired the beads, Haley Lawson
realized that there might be a market after all. Ronald began to
contact his other friends from America to help him develop a
marketing strategy.  In Uganda, Ronald holds classes to improve the
quality of paintings (Art pieces), sign writing, with boy (orphans), and classes to improve the quality of beads and develop several styles of necklaces, bracelets with and widows in different communities in the
eastern part of Uganda.
